MaxxECU Race connector pinout

Both connectors on a MaxxECU Race, pin by pin, with the terminal counts and cable covers you need to order alongside them.

The Race is MaxxECU’s two-connector unit: everything an engine needs is on C1, and C2 carries the extras — eight EGT channels, two knock inputs and the H-bridge for a drive-by-wire throttle. A car with a cable throttle and no EGT never needs C2 at all, which is worth knowing before you buy the second connector and spend an evening crimping 32 terminals you will not use.

Reading the grid

Positions are lettered rows and numbered columns — A1 to M4 on C1, A1 to H4 on C2. There is no row I. Connector grids skip it because a handwritten I and a 1 are the same mark at two in the morning, and a loom is not the place to find out which one you meant.

Ordering alongside it

Each connector takes a cable cover, and the covers are separate part numbers. The terminal counts in the tables below are what a full loom consumed on our own build — order spares, because a crimp you are unhappy with is a terminal you throw away, and being one short at midnight is how a car misses a test day.

Before you cut anything

This is transcribed from a harness we built and ran, not from the manufacturer’s datasheet. It is a working reference, not an authority: check it against MaxxECU’s own documentation for your firmware version before committing a crimp. Pin functions can move between hardware revisions, and the cost of being wrong here is measured in cylinder heads.
